Tactical Diversions

Posted in My Thoughts  by Eric Lagesten

Tactical diversion is a technique commonly used by law enforcement in the execution of particular missions; for example, creating a disturbance at the front door while an entry team goes through the back door. For just a moment, the target is distracted, their concentration and focus disrupted, thus allowing for the successful apprehension of the target.

The Obama administration is using just this tactic.
Some of the distractions have been planed where others have just fallen into their laps. The “Cap and Con” bill passed the House while the world, but most importantly the American people, watched the events surrounding the death of Michael Jackson. And just this past week, Obama took a question at the end of his latest “Pump Up The Obama-Care Tour” about the arrest of Harvard professor Henry Gates and gave the controversial answer that the Cambridge police “acted stupidly.” Again, the focus has been removed from the real issues.

(NOTE: Obama’s comment about the Cambridge Police is a real issue and I have no intention in downplaying its importance. My disappointment is that the disorderly conduct charge was dropped.)

Now, Obama, Sgt. Crowley and Gates are to get together for a few beers and a “cum bi ya” moment. This will again divert attention away from the real issues affecting this nation as the media scrambles to cover this meeting. I would have had to respond with, “I am sorry, but I can’t accept your invitation as I have a job to do and so do you.”
Can you not see what is going on here? Obama, Pelosi, Reed and all the other far left, liberal power mongers are lined up at the back door. Every time there is a distraction at the front door, they’re pushing the next legislation through, right under the noses of the American people. And with the passing of each item of legislation, Obama and “his” government receives more and more unbridled, unchecked power.

Obama is working his way to dictatorship through his party’s control of Congress and the White House. He is already circumventing our system of checks and balances with the appointments of thirty two “Czars”, appointments made without congressional approval which answer to no one but him. If you were to take some time and read through the proposed “Cap & Con” legislation, you would find that one phrase shows up in several areas of the text, “The President is responsible for the enforcement …” This addition seems to be written into every major block of legislation, thus giving Obama ultimate control over the administration of the legislation.

Now the most daunting diversion of all is the economic one. Obama has, with full purpose and planning, created a dire situation which affects most middle class Americans – rising costs and unemployment. This diversion is somewhat ingenious because, again, the focus is taken off his true agenda – complete and utter control of this nation and her people. As the average citizen worries about their day to day situation and pay check to paycheck survival, the Dems continue to push for more and more control.

Obama wants to come into your home and lives and dictate to you, the American Citizen, how you will live and work, what you can and can’t own and how you will serve The United States Of Obama.

If you haven’t gotten on board to fight this Power Grab by the Obama administration, you need to do so now. There are many of us working every day to stop this administration before it’s too late, but more citizens are needed for this fight. Not only are we fighting the administration, we are also fighting the career politicians who cave so quickly when their cushy existence is threatened by the administration. Let’s get these politicians to cave into our demands, demand that they represent us, the citizens who put them in office, demand that they hold true to their oath of office. And if they do not represent the will of the “We The People”, let them know that they WILL be out of a job.

2010 is creeping up on us. Make your voices are heard loud and clear. Take a real interest in the people who are running for office in your area and make sure that when elected they will represent you. We don’t need any more career politicians! Here’s one thing to consider. When looking into your candidates and finding the one you want to support for your state’s and federal congress, try to support the candidate who is in favor of term limits. Imposing term limits on representatives and senators would rid this nation of career politicians. In these candidates, we also need to find those who would be in favor of illuminating the outrage retirement and medical benefits granted to them after they leave office. An elected official is meant to serve the constituents, not burden them. They must return to a realistic private life after serving in elected office.

Knowledge is power! Get active, hold our politicians accountable and vote them out of office if they fail to represent the people.
